Aster Montessori Summer 2025

Camp One-Musician’s Workshop (June 23-27)
During this camp, our music teacher, Ms. Mai, will guide the students in singing, playing instruments, engaging in musical games, and moving to the music. Students will explore musical patterns and develop their musicianship skills. It promises to be a festive and enjoyable way to kick off the summer!

Camp Two- Radical Reptiles (July 7-11)
This week, we will explore fascinating reptiles. From lizards and snakes to turtles, if it’s scaly and slithery, we’ll learn about it. We will even have a visit from a reptile man, an expert who will bring some reptiles for us to see in person, and we may even have the chance to hold one or two!

Camp Three-Art Studio (July 14-18)
Painting, drawing and creating galore! Children will have ample opportunity to use a variety of art materials to create their fabulous masterpieces. The creative juices will be flowing!

Camp Four-Gymnastics (July 21-25)
Every day, students will attend a class with a skilled gymnastics coach, where they will learn basic tumbling and gymnastics skills in a fun, non-competitive, and positive environment. The activities will help develop coordination, balance, and motor skills, allowing children to build confidence and a positive self-image.

Camp Five-Community Helpers (July 28-Aug 1)
The campers will learn about the individuals and workers who contribute to the smooth functioning of our community. Many people work together to keep our community healthy, safe, active, and thriving. We will invite Fire and Rescue expert to visit us and teach fire safety skills while sharing information about the role of first responders.

Camp Six-What’s Cookin’? (August 4-8)
Each day, students will cook some yummy food. They will be involved in the steps to prepare food and then enjoy what they’ve made. This will include practical life skills like peeling, grating, cutting and cleaning up. Kids LOVE to be involved in the cooking process (and they are pretty fond of eating), so this is always a hit!

Camp Seven-Science Lab (August 11-15)
This week will be filled with fascinating science experiments and demonstrations! We’ll conduct experiments investigating colors (rainbows), the science of sound, states of matter, and static electricity. The kids will don their lab coats and safety glasses to make some intriguing scientific discoveries!

Camp Eight-Buzzing Bees (August 18-22)
We will jump into the fascinating world of bees! We will explore how they work together in the hive, how they make honey and how they are an essential part of food production! They will enjoy a yummy honey treat and have a visit from a professional beekeeper!
