June 24 - August 23, 2024, 8 weeks of fun!

Join the Aster Montessori Summer Camps from July through end of August. Open Monday through Friday, 9 AM – 3 PM (except holidays), with several schedule options for children age 2½ years to 6 years. Activities include, Arts and Crafts, Sports, Science, Gymnastics, Music and more. Ask about our Montessori Readiness experience for all camps!

Aster Montessori Summer 2024

Camp One – Gymnastics (June 24 – 28): At this exciting camp, young gymnasts can participate in daily classes with Jet’s Gymnastics Express. Under the guidance of enthusiastic and supportive coaches, they will learn fundamental tumbling and gymnastics skills in a positive, non-competitive environment.

Camp Two – Let’s Cook! (July 8 – 12): This is a fun-filled cooking camp where students will learn how to prepare fun snacks. They will get hands-on experience with all the steps of cooking, including peeling, grating, cutting, and cleaning up. Through this camp, they will develop practical life skills that will come in handy in the kitchen and beyond.

Camp Three – Mad Scientists (July 15 – 19): This is an exciting science camp where students can conduct engaging and hands-on experiments. They will learn some of the basic concepts of science and be inspired to develop a love for this fascinating subject.

Camp Four – Music Makers (July 22 – 26): In this camp, young music enthusiasts will have a blast exploring the world of music. Under the guidance of a Keiki Music teacher, they will sing, play instruments, engage in musical games, and move to the rhythm of music. They will learn about musical patterns and musicianship in a fun and festive environment.

Camp Five – The Great Outdoors (July 29 – Aug 2): This camp is about exploring and appreciating the wonderful world around us. Students will spend their days immersed in nature, learning about the plants and animals that inhabit our planet. They will get creative with natural materials and discover the joys of learning outside the traditional classroom setting.

Camp Six – Art Adventures (August 5 – 9): This camp is for young artists who love to explore and experiment with different media. Students can unleash their creativity and express themselves in various ways, guided by experienced and supportive instructors.

Camp Seven – Dinosaur Days (August 12 – 16): This camp is a dream come true for young dinosaur enthusiasts. Students will spend the week learning about their favorite prehistoric creatures and engaging in various educational activities that will spark their curiosity and imagination. From dinosaur feet artwork to creating their own fossils out of salt dough, they will be busy learning and developing an understanding of these fascinating creatures. They will learn about carnivores and herbivores and explore how each survived. It’ll be a roaring good time!

Camp Eight – Let’s go to China! (August 19 – 23): The Chinese language and Culture camp is designed for a beginner’s level. It is a stimulating introduction to the culture and language of China. The instructor will pack every day of the program with Mandarin teaching, Chinese Culture exposure, and arts/crafts activities that represent Chinese cultural elements. It’s an excellent opportunity for kids to taste the Chinese culture and learn Mandarin Chinese. On any given day during the week, campers might be brush-painting, doing Chinese paper cutting, coloring on moon-shaped Tuanshan, making Zodiac plates, doing the lion dance, and so much more!

Aster Montessori has two locations: one near Beaver Lake Park in Sammamish and another in Issaquah Highlands. Our school provides excellent early childhood education based on the Montessori Method. The basic premise of this method is that children are uniquely intelligent and learn naturally.
